*District game

The program earned the first winning season in 2004 and has continued that success through the 2007 season. The team has earned four consecutive Top 10 rankings in A/AA with the highest being #6 in the state. The Lady Mustangs compete in one of the most competitive Districts in A/AA, in fact the State Champion from A/AA has come from our District in the last four out of seven years.

The soccer program at DLCS is so much more than results on the field. Our ultimate goal is to develop successful and strong young Christian ladies both on and off of the field. Our success on the field, although related, is secondary to the teaching and development of Christian principles within the lives of each individual student athlete.

The key to our program’s long-term success is continued program development through the Middle School level and the continued dedication and development of adequate training facilities. We are prayerful that both of these areas will see continued work and focus. The Fall of 2008 will see our first Middle School girls’ soccer games.

A new and dedicated practice and training area is located at the corner of Caldwell Lane and Franklin Road (behind Cofer’s Chapel) which will serve both High School and Middle School programs. Several day-light games are scheduled to be played at the new field starting this Fall with night games being played on the University game field.

Many hard-working and supportive individuals have sacrificed to make the soccer program a successful and productive environment at David Lipscomb High School. A very special word of thanks is extended to you all for your contributions.

Please join us this Fall on October 9 to honor our Lady Mustang Seniors in their last home game.
