 
David Lipscomb Middle School basketball always strives to emphasize principles that will go beyond athletics. Players are constantly encouraged to put God first and others above themselves. The basketball program at Lipscomb is shaped by such verses as Phil. 2:1-4. It reads, “…in humility consider others better than yourselves…” and, “look not only to your own interests but also to the interests of others.” The ideas of together, servant leadership, humbleness, and work ethic are ideas that are important to the program.
