The Middle School Cross Country team is a strong and thriving athletic program each and every year. For the past seven or eight years, it has consistently grown in number and currently there are over 50 runners on the boys and girls combined teams. The team’s success has also grown consistently over the past several years. The team has accumulated 4 team plaques and 11 team trophies since 1999. During the 2005 season, both teams achieved 1st place at the annual Kenwood Classic in Clarksville, TN. In 2006, both teams obtained 2nd place at the same meet and we had the overall girl winner on our team. We run an average of six meets every year visiting many different schools and parks in our area.
The goal of the team each year is to grow spiritually as we compete with other schools and with each other. Cross Country is as much a team sport as it is an individual one. The friendly rivalries we have within our team contribute to our hard work and success. At the same time, the bonds we form with each other and the team spirit that forms each and every year cannot be matched. We have a lot of fun in our practices, but work hard and push ourselves at the same time.
It is an extreme honor and privilege to coach the boys and girls Cross Country teams each year.
